How we use information from this website.

Who we are

This website is operated by Stansted Flight Simulator, Randall Lane, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 1ET. For a privacy question or request, email inbox@stanstedflightsimulator.co.uk or call 07783 237014.

When you contact us

The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message. We use these details to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, help with your booking. Please only include information we need to help you.

We use enquiry information to take steps you ask us to take before a booking, or for our legitimate interest in responding to general questions and running the business. We do not add contact-form enquiries to a marketing list.

Messages are sent to our business inbox using our hosting or email provider. We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle the enquiry and any related booking, dispute or legal obligation. Access is limited to those who need it to deal with your request.

Booking and payment services

Flight dates are booked through our separate booking website. Voucher payments are handled by Stripe. This website does not receive or store your card details. The booking and payment services explain how they handle the information you enter there.

Your cookie choices

Analytics and advertising are optional. They stay off until you give permission. You can accept both, reject both, or choose them separately using the cookie banner. Ignoring or closing the settings does not give permission. Buying a voucher or contacting us does not require you to accept optional cookies.

You can also use Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw your permission. Changing a choice may refresh the page to stop tools that were already running. We remove recognised analytics and advertising cookies that this website can access when you turn the relevant category off. Cookies held on Google’s or Meta’s own domains must be managed through your browser or those providers.

We remember your categories, the date of your choice and the version of this notice in an essential cookie called sfs_cookie_consent for 180 days from your last choice. It does not contain your name or email address. If your browser cannot save the choice, we may use temporary browser-session storage to prevent an earlier acceptance from being reused. You may be asked again on another page or visit. This website’s choice does not automatically apply to the separate booking website or Stripe.

Analytics, with your permission

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and improve this website. With analytics enabled, information can include pages viewed, interactions such as clicking a voucher link, browser and device information, referral information and approximate location. We rely on your consent for this optional tracking. Advertising features additionally require advertising permission.

Advertising, with your permission

We use Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure responses to our adverts and help show relevant advertising. With advertising enabled, these providers can receive information about your visit and interactions, the page and referring address, advertising identifiers, IP address and browser or device information. They may link this with information they already hold about you, including an account you use with them.

Google Tag Manager loads and manages the tools according to your choices. We do not deliberately include contact-form messages or card details in website tracking events. Our marketing service provider helps us manage campaigns and reporting. Google and Meta may process information outside the UK; their privacy information explains how they use information and the safeguards they apply.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy, Google’s cookie information, Meta’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s cookie information.

Optional cookies depend on the tools in use, your choice and whether you arrived from an advert. Their lifetimes can be renewed on later visits while you allow them. Google and Meta may also use cookies on their own domains, described in their cookie information above. Removing cookies does not by itself delete information a provider has already received; you can use the contact and rights information below for data requests.

Essential cookies and security

The contact page uses a temporary session cookie named sfs_contact to protect the form and show the result of your enquiry. It is needed for the form to work and expires when your browser session ends. Other pages do not set this cookie.

To reduce spam, the form temporarily keeps submission timestamps under a hashed network identifier. These records expire after an hour and are cleared during subsequent form submissions. Your message is not stored in these records. Our hosting provider may also keep server logs for security and maintenance.

The contact page uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to help prevent spam. It analyses browser information and interactions with the page, and sets a _GRECAPTCHA cookie for its security checks. Google processes this information under its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Photographs and fonts are served directly from this website.

Videos and external links

Gallery videos load from Vimeo only when you press play. This connects your browser to Vimeo; its privacy information then applies. Links to Stripe, Google Maps, social networks and review websites take you to those services, which have their own privacy and cookie policies.

Your information rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request a portable copy. Contact us using the details above. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
